in this Managing Time & Cost Course we will Focus on the project management triple constraints of time & cost, and scope. Through a case study, hands-on exercises, and problem analysis, learn to build project requirements and the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

Managing Time & Cost Course:

The course consists of classroom instructor-led lecture and discussion, which is reinforced with team and individual exercises and case study assignments with student feedback that is critiqued by the instructor and the other student teams.

After completing this Managing Time & Cost workshop Course, you should be able to:
  • Formulate a comprehensive needs/requirements statement for your projects
  • Prepare a WBS, broken out to work-package level
  • Develop a project schedule using task durations and dependencies and identify the critical path
  • Use a variety of estimating techniques to develop a cost estimate for the project
  • Build a resource plan, including responsibility matrix and resource Gantt chart
  • Implement a project cost/schedule control system
  • Establish and use an earned value project control process
  • Control change to the project scope
  • Identify the project scheduling tasks for which
  • Microsoft Project (MSP) can be used
  • Describe key actions and decisions involved in building a project schedule using MSP
  • Build a project schedule using MSP

Twice a week: Evening sessions @ 6 PM

Once a week: Full day sessions on Saturdays @ 10 AM
